I have been practicing yoga for 17 years. This deep love of movement and meditation have become part of who I am as an adult. I am honored to teach and lead others in this practice.
In 2016, I earned my 200 hours in NYC with YogaWorks. Shortly after this I continued my training to earn my 300 hours, again through YogaWorks.
My training at YogaWorks followed their classic model of believing a class should be sequenced to lead up to a “peak pose.” It was very methodical, believing in training and preparing certain muscle to warm up properly, gaining students trust and providing them with self confidence to at least attempt the challenging peak pose before working on counter poses. I do tend to follow this model in my own yoga practice and appreciate its straightforwardness.
I have thoroughly enjoyed attending Yoga Time Studio. Mindy has been an inspiration to me! I admire her range of techniques and constant energy to push us to new levels and physical challenges. I feel confident I can teach in her studio to provide a similar environment with creative sequences and a variety of strengthening challenges.
When I’m not practicing yoga, I’m often running after my 5 year old son while he bikes on the W&OD trail or trying my hand at gardening!
